What is a topper and what does it do?

Bed environment

Commonly known as "firmness correctors," toppers are thin, padded layers that enhance the comfort of your mattress. They are designed to address any sinking or rigidity issues, providing a softer, more comfortable sleeping surface. Additionally, they optimize the characteristics of the mattress to improve overall sleep quality. Toppers also protect the mattress from dust and wear-related damage, preserving its quality over time. At Punto Piuma Home, our toppers are filled with goose down, which is highly effective at absorbing moisture, ensuring that you can sleep comfortably and stay dry, avoiding any unpleasant dampness. To achieve this, the feathers must meet specific criteria: they must be new, washed, sterilized, and dusted. Only in this way can they guarantee the best performance.

Topper thickness

How thick should a topper be? The thickness of the topper is a very important factor, as it indicates the level of solidity and density of the product. At Punto Piuma Home, we offer toppers with a thickness of approximately 5 cm. We've found that this is the optimal height for both mattress support and individual comfort during sleep.
