Our company has been on this path for some time, making clear choices aimed at reducing the environmental impact of production and the processes tied to it.
Our approach to sustainability also extends to the choice of partners who share our vision. One of these is HP, which, thanks to HP Latex technology, is recognized as one of the world’s most virtuous companies in terms of sustainability.
The HP printers we use to create custom patterns and fabrics for our seating are not only a guarantee of high-quality end products, but also a valuable tool for creating a safer work environment. The ink used in this technology is 65% water-based, which avoids the risks typically associated with solvent-based and UV inks, without compromising performance. Furthermore, thanks to its odorless technology, it is possible to work in confined spaces with complete safety.
However, our choice to partner with HP was not driven solely by the high efficiency they offer. A significant factor in our decision was HP’s strong commitment to reducing waste and its continuous promotion of sustainable practices, even when it comes to disposing of old printers and cartridges. Specifically, the Eco-Carton cartridge reduces plastic by 80% and CO2 emissions by 66%. Moreover, the printers themselves are made with post-consumer electronics and recycled plastic.
Thanks to this new partnership, Punto Piuma Home has earned the HP EcoSolutions Printer certification, a recognition that represents a further step toward greater sustainability.
